The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures and services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and insurance regulations.
Duties - Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding of diagnoses and procedures - Assign appropriate ICD-9 or ICD-10 codes to medical procedures - Submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement - Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any billing discrepancies - Communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries - Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations - Assist with medical collections as needed Skills - Proficient in medical terminology, ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG coding systems - Strong knowledge of medical billing processes and insurance regulations - Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures - Ability to effectively communicate with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies - Familiarity with medical office software and electronic health records (EHR) systems - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively If you are a dedicated Medical Biller looking for a challenging role in a fast-paced medical office, we would love to hear from you.
