The ideal candidate will be responsible for promoting and selling our premium fresh and frozen seafood products to a diverse clientele.
This role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
1.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market expansion.
2.
Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining and nurturing existing client relationships.
3.
Educate clients on the unique qualities and sustainability practices of our seafood products.
Become an expert in our fisheries and products.
Telling the full story of SPC and our fisheries builds immense value.
4.
Work towards maximizing overall value for our fishermen and our customers.
5.
Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and consumer preferences to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
6.
Coordinate with the production and logistics teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
7 Participate in planning our path in maximizing opportunities with the fish coming across our dock.
Every year is different in production and in the seafood market.
Attend regular meetings to share perspective and to incorporate input from others into your sales role.
Requirements:
1.
Proven experience in sales, preferably in the seafood industry.
2.
Strong understanding of seafood products and fisheries.
3.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
5.
Understand the seasonal changes in quantity, size, and selections of our core species.
6.
Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
7.
Competent in CRM, and inventory software.
