Living Skills Specialist Scope:
Living Skills Specialists assist in the support of individualized program goals, plans and community based activities focusing on participants' choices.
Living Skills Specialists provide quality, compassionate participant care by performing tasks involving direct or indirect personal care.
Living Skills Specialist use skills and knowledge learned in basic nursing assistant procedures and techniques under the direction and supervision/delegation of a registered nurse, as needed and assigned; while adhering to policies and procedures set forth by Evergreen Supported Living.

00am Weekend Availability Required Per Diem employees are employed to work on an intermittent basis or to supplement the regular work force on a scheduled or unscheduled basis to provide coverage for emergencies, employee absenteeism, or other unexpected events after full-time and part-time employees are scheduled for their assigned FTE.
Per Diem employees must as a condition of employment agree to work with sufficient frequency to maintain the skills of their position to meet the needs of their work as determined by Evergreen.

Required Qualifications & Education:
Employee must be at least (18) years of age High school diploma or equivalent Certification in CPR and First Aid Nursing Assistant Registration NAR Certification in Blood borne Pathogens Food Handlers Card Ability to read and write proficiently Provide a copy and maintain a clear Washington State driver's license; proof of good driving record with minimal tickets.
Ability to be insured through Evergreen Supported Living's auto insurance provider.
Ability to pass and maintain a clear DSHS background, and fingerprint clearance.
Ability to complete a mandatory 40 hours of CORE training at the start of employment; Monday-Friday from 9am-5pm.
We have a very involved training program to prepare new staff for all aspects of the job & ensure comfort, confidence, and competency Ability to successfully complete all required training in the required time allotted.
Ability to physically transfer, assist with transfers, and/or lift participants who require physical assistance.
Ability to reach, stand, bend and assist participants with physical activities.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at times to assist participants when necessary.
Preferred Qualifications & Education:
Medical terminology Experience working with individuals with intellectual or other developmental disabilities.
Ability to relate positive image to participants, their families, and the community.
Ability to work cooperatively with peers and management.
Ability to critically think and problem solve.
Ability to take initiative and work independently with little supervision.
