The General Manager assists owners with implementation of the company's strategic plan and directs tactical execution to achieve the goals and objectives as outlined in the plan.
The candidate is adept at analyzing operational data and possesses knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to small businesses.
He or she is fluent in financial areas including:
rolling, short-, and long-term budgeting; cost control; profitability forecasting; and generally accepted accounting principles.
The General Manager is a proactive problem solver committed to continuous improvement, with exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal interaction skills.
Honesty, sense of humor, and appreciation of the collaborative process are requisite.

Cascade Joinery has a small team located in Bellingham, WA.
Since 1990, we have provided crafted timberwork for a wide range of buildings--residential, commercial and municipal.
As the Mass Timber movement has grown, we have developed a presence in this market as well.
In addition to the fabrication and installation of crafted timberwork, we provide specialized and creative structural timber engineering solutions, connection detail design, and guidance for timber specifications, through design consultation and engineering services.
Cascade Joinery is also an expert in SIPs (structural insulated panels), both in design and in-field installation.

Key Responsibilities of the General Manager:
Oversee and manage operational planning Direct and coordinate financial planning and budget management Forecast and manage cash flow to maintain flexibility and maximize returns Develop and track benchmarks to measure financial and operational performance Provide performance feedback to management team Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget Develop and implement financial reporting and forecasting tools Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal reporting requirements Administer employee benefit programs Train and supervise department staff Make financial tools available to management team to support decision-making Supervise bookkeeper and bookkeeping Develop five-year strategic plan for business transition with Owner/Managing Partner Create and Update Monthly Dashboard Review and manage insurance plans Review and update wage scale Administer vendor and client contract Complete and update bond/loan applications Manage license renewals Review estimating and budget to actual performance Job costing Overhaul and manage client contracting process Maintain Cash/Accrual monthly adjustment spreadsheet Work with Estimating/Sales team to streamline estimating spreadsheet Present financial analyses to support strategic planning, contract negotiations and investment decision making Cascade Joinery offers outstanding benefits including a competitive compensation, health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and a simple IRA.
