JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for supporting and furthering the goals and priorities of the region and the mission and values of PeaceHealth. Participates in the development of, and carries out, financial policy and provides credible and understandable financial analyses and guidance that enhance decision making to preserve and enhance the financial position and performance of region.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Maintains close collaborative relations with Hospital and Clinic Operations, Patient Financial Services, Accounting Services, HID, and Financial Services and these departments are among the primary customers.
Coordinates and participates in the financial aspects of planning, budgeting and forecasting, financial and operational analysis, and coordinates and maintains cost accounting of PeaceHealth services.
Supports the database administrator for the financial decision support system and participates as the System wide Cost Accounting Team and in system projects and activities.
Acts as a facilitator for the System wide Cost Accounting Team providing regular financial reports and updates while coordinating decision-making.
Completes operating and capital budget that enhances and/or maintains the overall financial position of the Regions in an efficient and timely manner and in accordance with System and Regional planning policies and guidelines.
Timely dissemination of financial information in such a manner as to promote clarity of understanding, promote effective operational decision-making and ensure an understanding of the financial ramifications of decision alternatives.
Provides timely and accurate financial analysis that facilitates and enhances decision making.
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Bachelor's in Business Administration, Finance/Accounting; or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Master's degree preferred.
License/certification
CPA preferred.
Experience/training:
Five years experience in healthcare financial management and/or accounting in a healthcare setting
Other skills:
Ability to operate a variety of microcomputer based applications (Word, Excel, Access, Scheduler, PowerPoint, ESI, Avega, Strata and Infinium)
Possess analytical and interpretive skills, work accurately with detail, and have ability to manage multiple complex tasks at one time
Able to function as a member of a team to assure the functions and special projects of the department are carried out in a communicative and positive atmosphere
Accomplishes productivity and financial goals as mutually agreed and modified to reflect changes outside his/her control.
Must possess technical and professional accounting skills, able to coordinate financial operational systems.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
